Choose based on the editing brief

If the body, clothes, and choreography already suit your shot and only the face needs to change, evaluate a dedicated face-swap tool. If your concept depends on a robot body, original mascot costume, or different silhouette, a broader character workflow is more relevant.

These tasks should not be compared using only a selected result frame. A face edit and a whole-character reinterpretation may affect different areas of the image. Define the intended change first, then inspect the full video for the properties that matter to your brief.

What the TryMotion studio includes

The web studio takes one prepared video up to 10 seconds and one reference image. It checks the source format and duration, provides a credit quote, and tracks a private asynchronous job. The default is P-Video-Replace 720p, with 1080p available for higher quality. Wan Animate, Kling and Seedance are additional options; the studio shows their availability and individual credit costs.

There is no social-video URL importer in this MVP. Bring a file you own or have permission to process, and trim it in your editor first. Outputs and uploaded copies expire from TryMotion storage after 7 days; download finished work you want to keep.

Compare buying models carefully

TryMotion’s prepaid packs start at $15 USD for 150 credits. Default P-Video 720p costs 10 credits for up to 5 seconds and 20 for up to 10 seconds. Higher-quality 1080p costs 20 and 40 respectively. This makes each experiment’s cost visible before submission, without requiring a recurring plan.

A subscription and a credit pack suit different usage patterns. For occasional experiments, calculate the cost of the number of attempts you expect to make. For regular volume, examine the provider’s actual limits, fair-use rules, failed-job policy, and allowed uses. A headline plan label is not enough to predict your effective cost.

What we cannot claim yet

We have not run the same source footage through both services. We cannot claim that TryMotion is faster, more realistic, cheaper for every user, or better at preserving a scene. We also cannot infer SwapTok’s revenue or traffic sources from its public product description.

Our current comparison covers each product’s published scope, pricing and workflow. TryMotion’s original P-Video demos include source footage, character references, full outputs, credit costs and processing times. A direct comparison with SwapTok would require the same inputs, documented settings and a record of all attempts, including failures.

Before paying for either workflow

Use permission-based source material, look for examples that resemble your shot, and check whether you are buying a face edit or a broader generated transformation. Confirm how original audio is handled and how long uploaded files are retained.
